Graphic Surface

紙を壁に溶け込ませ、そこにグラフィックの印刷を試みた作品。印刷物を目の前にした時、描かれる情報に注目する。それは紙にインクが盛られた物体を見ていると言い換えることができるだろう。本作では、印刷物をインクが盛られた物体として認識する体験を作り出すために、展示室の壁と紙を融合させ、その上にステンシル印刷を施した。印刷物に不確かな存在感を持たせ、印刷物の物性と豊かな質感を表した。

This work blends paper into the wall and attempts to print graphics on it. When we see a printed piece of paper, we pay attention to the information depicted on it. This can be paraphrased as looking at an object with ink on paper. In order to create the experience of perceiving printed matter as an inked object, the artist fused the walls of the exhibition room with paper and applied stencil printing on it. The printed matter is given an uncertain presence, and the physical properties and rich texture of the printed material are expressed.
